They rebuild locomotives in the Juniata shop.
We rebuild traction motors, armatures and coils for them, mostly EMD parts but some GE stuff as well.

Oh ok. Gotcha. I just work on the track man. Whenever it's broke out, I weld it back in. Travel all the damn time. Hate it. SEVERELY underpaid. Skilled labor isn't cheap. And cheap labor isn't skilled.

Yep railroad baws definitely log some hours. Lots of em took retirement during covid. Thermite welding?
