You should be asking what people in South Arkansas or East Mississippi think of them.

Because that's where they live.

All of us can’t be 5’3, wear white rubber boot and gold chains all while speaking in some sort of derp dialect.

What I like about them is they’re not disgusting mongrel low bred subhumans like the creatures who inhabit the fetid oil soaked cesspool know as South LA.

Here's a question. Who's more genuine, Duck Dynasty crew or Swamp People crew?

I think I would like to hang out with Shelby instead of Phil honestly. More fun.

And just like that an honest OP question becomes an angry divisive contest between South La and North La. I got news for you both: Everyone outside of the state thinks we're all walking stereotypes.

I like all parts of the state myself.

Coastal fishing communities, NOLA metro, West Florida, Baton Rouge metro, Acadiana, CENLA, and North La. All have distinct qualities, some good some bad.

As for the Duck Commander guys: Obviously the scenarios are scripted and the personalities are likely exaggerated, but the way they interact seems genuine enough. I find them likeable.

Jessica is fine. I guess Sadie is old enough now to look at like that. Been awhile since I watched.

shite basically Alex and north of it is East Tx. The south/north La divide is comical, South La is nice for some things and North La is nice for some things. The entire state can be traveled anywhere and back in a day easily.

As for the Robertsons some older guys I grew up hunting with knew Phil and had hunted with them a time or two way back, they all spoke well of him. the show is obviously a scripted version of their old movies without the hunting and more hijinx to reach a wider audience.

Edit: yeh tigerbruh, I was going to say idk why people argue over that when everyone out of state thinks everyone from here is equally illiterate shitkickers that take the piroque to work everyday.

Allow me to correct myself.

I'd paint Sadie's back wall white, consequence free.

i listen to their unashamed podcast and really like it.

they often touch on the subject of the tv show laughing about something that happened. they make no bones about it: the show was scripted as hell and they made bank on it -just like i would.

i don't hang my star on anybody, but they're about as good of people as you can ask for.

the small dick syndrome from south louisianans is just weird, and no, i don't ever care to understand why, either.

Dad and my uncle heard they made great pirogues for duck hunting a went to go buy a couple. Maybe 20 years ago.

Anyway, before Phil would do business with him, they had to pass a Bible quiz.

After the 3rd correct answer, he let them buy the pirogues. They were aluminum and very nice.

I’ve lived in NELA, CENLA, and NOLA and they definitely all have their own uniqueness but are all definitely Louisiana too. I’ve never seen so many people scared to be associated with anything as S LA people can be.

Judging from the upvote to downvote ratios, it seems quite a few posters love and/or relate to them
