I'm in the same boat. He was up there alone and was the only trigger man. However, he didn't get the idea himself and wasn't self-motivated to do this as a lone wolf. He had backers, others that knew about it and helped plan it.
I think the obvious guesses are CIA, mafia, Cubanos, and Soviets (and maybe a combination of a couple).

Someone would have to know where all those bombs and whatever else they needed to pull it off and come forward. Lots of people immediately came forward about the Lab, and I think just as many people would be aware of this as that.

And to that point, the universe is so big (infinite) that I don't think any other beings have made their way to Earth. It would take intergalactic travel faster than light speed and then they'd have to go unnoticed (except for crazy people) once they got here.
I think the wild UFO sightings from our military are top secret testings from branches of our military or other nations spying/using the new tech.

The one I keep wondering about is the Simpsons theory… I think Hollywood and California can go to hell but there are a lot of Simpsons episodes that tell the future and other movies with subject matter hints that actually happens years later.
Somebody in Hollywood Knows something but how or why I can’t say.

Because I think the government thinks we are all stupid peons.

I really enjoy conspiracy theories but don’t believe 99.9999% of them. Here’s two.
1). John Wilkes Booth got away
2). Oswald acted alone, but Kennedy kill shot came from secret service agent George Hickey fumbling his AK in the car behind. When the secret service fricks up that bad you gotta cover it up.
