What are your thoughts on putting your child on a leash?

Saw it last night walking around Perkins Rowe and it took me by surprise. Similar to this:

I used to be disgusted by it. Now that I have two 2 year olds it looks like the most wonderful thing ever.

If you’re walking down the side of a road then I think it’s acceptable. Don’t want your kid running in front of a car. If your not near a road or any other immediate danger then lose the leash.

Some kids just take off if you put them down. If my kid was a runner I would probably use one.

I remember seeing those all over disney world when i went as a kid, i think they banned them for safety reasons

As long as it's attached to a harness and not a collar, I don't see the problem.
