Yea, they’re both legit. Along with some Columbia products. When I lived along the Arctic Circle I saw a lot of people wearing these brands and then laying in North Face tents.

A true OT baw would kill the bear with a knife, skin it and use the pelt to make a jacket and then recreationally using some peptides to ensure dominance.

I would add Outdoor Research to that list. I love their Helium line of jackets. By far the best technical rain/wind jacket on the market in the $500 price range.

The “before year 2000” stuff was legit because the company hadn’t been bought out yet. The current higher-end apparel and gear may still be some of the best, but the “mostly streetwear camouflaged as outdoor wear” is garbage.

ETA: OR, Cotopaxi, some Mammut, Enlightened Equipment, some Kavu for streetwear, and Icebreaker have been the brands I’ve regretted purchasing least. All have some hit or miss, except Enlightened Equipment, because they only offer 2 jackets and 1 pant.

I’ve never used clothing from them but their quilts are fantastic.

The only time I use Starbucks coffee is when I am with my granddaughters or when I go to MDAnderson hospital (it is the only coffee they have in their cafe)

I was at MDA last week and made the same observation. When we go to Pennington we can at least get Community.

BMW.

They're a nightmare to maintain, use Torx bolts in the dumbest of places, fix problems that don't exist, and generally think that their owners are too stupid to understand how they actually work.

If you run in Hokas you might as well just run in platform shoes with how high off the ground you are. Retarded sole thickness even in their “low to the ground” offerings.

I run 2x/week at 6-7 miles a clip. I also walk 3-4 miles/day to supplement strength training and I wear Hokas for the walks and runs. I like them but they are high off the ground. They’ve certainly helped with the ankle and knee pain I experienced with the New Balance running shoes I had.

Starbucks. Their coffee tastes burnt to me but I guess when women add all the soy milk and sugar it’s basically a milk shake
sidebar: Starbucks convinced many chubby girls that a milkshake was actually a cup of coffee in the morning. Kudos to Starbucks!

I like them for every day walking but I have some New Balance Fresh Foam for running.
