Audubon is still a great zoo. Birmingham is legit, as well.

St.Louis Zoo is one of top Zoo's in America, and it's FREE.

You only pay for Parking and using the train. There is free parking on streets, and around the ZOO, in the park.

They bought up a shite load of land across from the Zoo(across the highway), and plan on expanding even more, and more interactive stuff in the new areas.

The Monroe Zoo

Kalamazoo ain't too bad. Sorta reminds me of Shreveport, minus the Shreveport part.

Henry Doorly in Omaha is excellent and the best I have been to inside or outside the US.

San Diego and The Bronz zoo are the other best in the US. The Smithsonian National Zoo is great too, better now than the past.

Outside the US

Singapore Zoo
Basel Zoo in Switzerland
The zoo in Vienna Austria (oldest in the world)
Berlin Zoo in Germany

That's what I've always heard about the Omaha zoo. What makes it so, if I may?

FIFY. BREC has run that institute into the f$&king ground to justify moving it and building a new one. How they allowed the zoo to lose their elephants was shameful.
What kind of shithole zoo doesn't have elephants?

Jackson Zoo is the worst you may ever experience. They haven’t had elephants in what seems like 10 years or more.

It is in a horrible part of town. (You are taking your life in your own hands)

They wanted to move the zoo to a nicer part of town where there was a Children’s Museum, but the politics got in the way, where a certain demographic were claiming racism saying the reason for the move was to just move it to a “white” area. They were going to still keep it in Jackson. It’s ridiculous.

It’s a sad state of affairs. They ran a news article last year how the Jackson Zoo was under such a budget crunch, the employees agreed to take 1/2 pay so the animals could still be fully taken care of. I still brave the potholes and the crime to try to go for the simple fact for the animals, but I wish something could get done.

To answer the thread, I really enjoyed going to the Memphis and Phoenix Zoo. I also went to a huge zoo outside of Chicago in Indiana.

It's right next to the St. Louis Art Museum - which is also free.

Lots of cool, free shite to do in St. Louis for tourists and locals.

For as shitty of a city that’s it in, the Jackson zoo is quite nice. The Birmingham zoo is also pretty good.
