What are you getting for Christmas? Need ideas

The wife keeps bugging me to come up with a list of things I want for Christmas.
Her family likes to buy everyone gifts and they like to make sure it's not crappy stuff no one wants.
I usually buy whatever I want throughout the year, but I'm trying to think of things I'd like, but wouldn't necessarily buy myself. There is no price limit really.
So far I'm thinking:
A new backpack like a Mystery Ranch or Tom Binh.
A pellet smoker
I'm having a hard time coming up with anything else. What are y'all getting?

Not a thing...

My wife never asked me so I didn't tell her anything. Either I'm getting nothing or it will be a surprise.

Honestly if you can live with someone for an entire year and have no clue what to get them come Christmas time, it's a sign you need to spend more quality time with them next year.

Just tell her to get you whatever she’s getting for her boyfriend.

Do you like bourbon or scotch?
I’m never disappointed when I get that for Christmas.

A trip to the Grand Canyon. Sit on the edge for a couple of days.

The only thing I really wanted "for Christmas" was a new surround sound processor but the company that is making the one I want runs on a Teslaesque timeline. We rarely ever buy big gifts for each other at Christmas because we tend to just buy something when we want it. We just concentrate on buying things for other people.

Think of stuff you want to buy yourself and tell her. I, like you, just buy whatever I need/want when I want it and don’t expect others to get it for me as a gift. But come November and December if I see something I want I just tell my wife and refrain from buying it myself. Sometimes that “ruins the surprise”…but it also eliminates feeling guilty about not using/liking things you never wanted in the first place

My wife bought me a Z-Grill pellet smoker from Menards.
I want some new leather boots, some Royal Shrimp Boots and a Brisket slicing knife. If it would be any other month other than December I would just buy it myself.

When all else fails a bottle of bourbon or a pocket knife are the best fallback gifts, I can never have too many and even if someone gifts me a “shitty” version of either I’ll still drink it or use it

I am the same way…if I want something through the year, I buy it. I am however, becoming more inclined to ask for clothing now because I don’t buy clothing too often. Just pick out a few shirts from LLBean or some other mail order company. When you get them, throw away those in your closet that are worn.

I'm holding out for a Bugatti but I'll settle for a McLaren since money's tight right now
