Had our Taste of the Masters party today at the cigar lounge. They bought a few of those kits from the web - the chips, popcorn and egg salad and pimento cheese were fantastic. The BBQ pork was basically the tub stuff from the grocery stores. Okay.
Enjoyed a Rock Hill Farms neat with a Liga Privada anniversario toro, shifted to a smoked old fashioned with Elijah Craig toasted barrel and a Davidoff oscuro.
Solid day.

Horse riding then my daughter had a gymnastics competition, now we’re in a tent “camping” in the back yard. Great day!

Unfortunately disappointing one of my kids because I couldn’t go to her play because of something I did.. it’s her senior year and she’s the lead. I’ve never felt worse because I let her down. So I’m just sitting here watching Fast Times at Ridgemont High and beating myself up. Hopefully I’ll be able to go to the last show tomorrow and redeem myself.

Washed the car this morning.
Came home and watched the Masters.
Took a nap.
Saw my 16 yr old son off to his prom.
Watched more Masters.
Grilled some filets…ate them.
Played XBox with my 14 yr old.
Son and car are back safe from the prom. We still have some knucklehead kids in the basement post prom but overall a good day.

Enjoy these times with your kids. Mine are almost out of there and are around sporadically. The 17 yo just got in from a shift at Chipotle.
I just came in and showered. Midnight snack while I check the OT. Productive Saturday. Today was installing some new brakes for the other boys Toyota. Tonight my newish Wrangler got a new battery and modded it by bypassing the ESS and auxiliary battery setup. Before all this, I spent a couple of hours on the zero turn in the wind.

Similar boat, except I've been in a metal tube in the sky the past 12 hours with one to go. Peed a million times and didn't get any naps. Now I have to land do a bunch of shite for the first time in a strange land and stay awake 8 more hours or so.

You could try counting sheep, but relaxing your mind in a meditative zen way and only allowing the peaceful scene of a waterfall is better.

This always been a problem for me before an exciting trip. Sometimes I just get on the road or in the boat at midnight and start the trip. All you do is lay there and think about how you can’t sleep.
