What would you say are some of the most useless college degrees? In other words, the degrees that will never translate into a career that pays well.

There are people who major in woman's studies. I guess both are from the same college, but yeah..

If graduating with no loans, I say none are useless. If you're paying off loans because you majored in pottery and work as a barista, yeah problem.

Art, English, mass com, marketing, sociology, gender studies

One thing that really aggravates the piss out of me about student loan forgiveness is that they'll pay a bunch of folk's loans off but not do anything to actually fix the problem. They'd still let 18 year olds sign themselves into debt for a degree that doesn't have any demand.

I tend to agree with that but Graphic Design or digital Art is an art degree but they are not useless. Lots of jobs out there for those skills.

I remember having an accounting instructor tell us that his first degree was sociology and that it took him about 2 weeks to learn that a sociology degree and a cup of coffee will satisfy your caffeine craving. So he went back to school for accounting.

That degree was gold when DEI was running full speed. Trump said NOT SO FAST.

I earned a Sociology degree from Central Washington in ‘73. The profs were quite liberal and everyone got at least a B. My degree only mattered when I worked as a Vista volunteer outreach worker at Seattle Veteran’s Action Center.

art history is the usual answer, even thought it is an interesting course of study if you like art.

My wife got a degree in Art History and
Film Studies from a hotshot school, but she later earned her law degree.lol…
