There is a engine starter spray in Australia called "Start ya bastard!"

There is also a brand of cheese that has been around for decades called Coon Cheese. The aborigines got all up in arms about it in the early 2000's, calling it racist. The company told them to shove it because the product was simply named after the guy who developed the process used to make the cheese, Edward William Coon.

There is also a chewy candy there called Redskins. That wouldn't fly here in the states.

When I pass this store, I imagine a conversation about a teacher.

"You hear about Ms. Jones? She died."

"Oh, no. What happened?"

"Very sad. She got School Aids."

Hydrox

It sounds like a chemical. It's a brand of cookie. It actually is the original and Oreo is the knock-off.

Oreo beats the crap out of Hydrox as I recall.

Not sure about brands, but stores, I got 2. Conns and Hancock's.

One has how they rip you off in the title and the other was definitely not what I was expecting or hoping for....

The company that makes Shinola shoe polish, where the name from that saying comes from, also makes watches.

The original Shinola shoe polish company went out of business in 1960. The company in Detroit that owns the name now has only been around since 2011, they sell leather goods, watches and bycicles as well.

Anusol

I get that it treats a butt issue (hemorrhoids) but did you really need the word Anus in the actual product name?

The most unfortunate product name that I recall is the weight loss product "Ayds".

The slogan was "Lose weight with Ayds".

"Shinola" immediately reminds me of the old saying "you don't know shite from shinola". I would never consider buying the product for that reason. Terrible product name imo.

Exactly what I thought when I saw it.
