25 cent Mellow Yellows in the cafeteria. Kids drank that all the time because it was cheap, and then they had the genius idea to make it 55 cents like all the other soft drinks were and no one ever drank them again.

Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger Wendy’s was 99 cents in 2004. I think it’s now 4 bucks. Absolutely insane.

I remember my pawpaw buying a truck for 24 grand in 1993 and thinking that was the most expensive thing on the planet

One token for a pop in High School! Then it went up to .35c and those frickin dimes came back into play...

Worked at a snowball stand $3.25/hr.
Prices:
SM: 0.65
Med: 0.85
LG: 1.10

McDonalds 2 Cbeeseburger Meal $2.99

School lunch was 35 cents. Extra milk was a dime.

* In 1965, bought a new Porsche 356 - $ 5,870
* Remember saying that if cigs every got to $ 1, I was done
* There was no McDonalds - Frosttop - still there today
* The zoo was free
