For a member of Congress this has to take the cake. Can't get much worse than this...

A friend once told me she wanted us to drive to Hawaii. She thought there was a bridge you could take from California to Hawaii.

Last week, we had a dept meeting about doing a Cinco De Mayo fund raiser and a coworker said, "When is Cinco de Mayo?" After telling her it's on the 5th of May, she asked if it's always on that day.

As I've posted elsewhere, at the time he had a medical condition that causes confusion and disorientation. Supposedly it's been dealt with.

Sadly, I was talking the other day with a fairly recent college hire who had never heard of Chairman Mao.

Also sadly, I bet some of you younger posters have no clue who he is without Googling. He only presided over one of the most horrifying famines the world has ever known.

That the Richter Scale is a logarithmic scale, so a 6.0 earthquake is not "almost the same" as a 7.0, it's 1/10 as bad..

That when it's winter in the northern hemisphere, it's summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

That summer days/winter nights are longer as you go farther from the equator.

Stuff like that.

Girlfriend doesn't know lots of obvious things man if I could remember all the dumb things she's said. One I do remember is that she didn't know who was president when she was born which I thought everyone knows that. She said Reagan and she was born in 93 so it was Clinton

I met a dude who was 25 at the time and his sister two years older, they didn't know how to drive any type of vehicle.

Just odd this day and age.

My mom told me not to tell her the outcome of a game since I was in a different time zone and I would see the score "before" she did. Ultimate

This one is stupid.

The movie never suggested that Jack didn't get on because there was no room.

He didn't get on because when he tried the whole thing sunk. If Rose isn't at least mostly out of the water it doesn't matter if you have to actively swim to stay afloat.

Now I didn't see the mythbusters episode where they might have handled that.

Mostly referring to the list of comical positions where both could fit in the space.

ETA: BOOOO at them "cheating" to use the lifepreserver to keep it above water.

I doubt anyone would have the dexterity to tie a knot like that after being in the water as long as they were.

A change at QB was obviously needed. LM did not know that.
