Over the years I have heard a lot of dumb shite spew forth from the mouths of my students. Back in 2008 one kid said that if Hillary won the election he was moving to another state. When asking if anyone was familiar with Roman numerals one day I had one girl raise her hand and say her dad liked to eat them but she wasn’t a fan. I said “Uh, I think you mean Ramen noodles “.

But my all time favorite was an answer written on a test. The question was “What was the outcome of Roe vs. Wade?” His response was “Roe TKO’d Wade in the fourth round”. Lmao.

We were having a party for Game 7 of the 1991 World Series. We were in Auburn (Central Time). Game is unreal and tied 0-0 in the 9th. This girl pipes up and says we could call her parents in ATL and find out who wins since they are an hour ahead. She was not kidding and the whole place was just in shock.

I hope you don’t attend a mega church or watch a televangelist. Because those people do the exact same shite.

Embarrassed to say this but my dad thought the same thing. My brother lived in Hawaii and was going to the Pro Bowl. My dad thought we would know the outcome of the game before he did.

Any devout religious person who speaks with absolute conviction about their religion and offers no interest, awareness or effort to learn about others or even recognize the significance of other religions in the world

Indian teacher in middle school said Indians were known as “redskins” because they had sunburns all the time.

Student asked if sunburns existed back then

That there is an invisible man in the sky who sees everything we do and judges us, so we should fear him.

Thank goodness no religion teaches that.

I don't. I attend a great church with an honest, upfront pastor who actually teaches the Bible and doesn't bend the messages to fit what he wants.
You are correct though. My father attended and gave what little money he had to Bethany. I realized at a very young age that the Stockstills are in it for the money. That theory was later proven true by nothing more than the other mega churches in BR alone, Swaggart and Healing Place.
The Catholic priests at the school I went to were alcoholics or complete assholes.
Man has taken what the Son of God died for and perverted it to the point of being unrecognizable, and therefore opening the door for non believers to rightly criticize the church and worse yet, giving them a reason to turn their backs on God.

Two classics from my wife:

“Does Waffle House even have waffles?”

While in Gulf Shores: “Why are there so many Alabama flags?”

Sounds silly to us because we were raised knowing, but I can see how someone might thing “red fish” and “red snapper” are related.

It sounds pretty stupid, but you know what else is stupid actual real life fish happenings. For example, a flounders eyes start on opposite sides of their body when they are young like every other fish, then migrate to the same side when they "lay down" on the bottom. So, yeah it sounds stupid to think a red fish becomes a red snapper, but it's also sounds stupid to hear that a fish's eyes swap sides of its head but it really happens.

I would rather take my chances with something founded directly by Christ that has legitimate power and authority from Him rather than join some random church founded by Pastor Joe Blow based on his personal interpretation of the Bible (which was written and compiled by the Catholic Church, ironically).

This proves his point

That life on earth started by primordial goo morphing into bacteria because reasons then morphed into a worm that morphed into a fish that morphed into salamander, that morphed into a ferret that morphed into a monkey that morphed into us.
