It takes me a few hours to mow the grass, and I usually just wear earplugs.

I would like to invest in a good set of wireless headphones, or ear buds that will protect the ears from the engine and allow me to listen to some tunes.

Anyone suggestions for a good set of dual purpose headphones?

If you have an Apple device, go in for the AirPods. I use those things every single day and it’s definitely worth the investment.

I would suggest a lawn mower for that job.

Just take some buds and sharpen them with a pocketknife. It’s going to take forever to cut the grass with those, though.

That sounds absolutely miserable. I keep going back and forth on a larger lot that I would have to mow or stay on a smaller lot that I pay someone.

I have a pair of the 3M and Howard Leight. Although the Howard Leight are not bluetooth I prefer them. They just seem to blockout more noise.

This is the Howard Leight’s I have.

These handle sweat OK but they do not block outside sound, so you can wear these walking or jogging and hear on coming traffic but for grass cutting I wear Regular Ear Protection muffs like worn around loud machinery over these to block the engine noise and hearing destruction.

Pro tip:

I have Airpods and they are actually pretty good at blocking out the noise once the blades are on but because they are so expensive I am paranoid that I’ll lose one on a bump and it will fall into the belts or something.

What I do is use Airpods but cover them with unplugged over the ear headphones or shooting muffs.

Still no wires and added sound proofing.

Bose QuietComfort 20

Not wireless but I use these and they work great. I have a zero turn cutting about 6 acres and a tractor bush hogging a lot more and clipped to my shirt I don’t have to worry about dropping them under the tractor.

I have worn backbeat fit to cut the grass for the past three years and can hear perfectly fine without the volume being turned all the way up.

It’s a 60” Zero turn. Can’t go too much bigger.
