Moved from New Orleans to Provo, Utah 2 years ago. A pretty sizable upgrade (partying aside). People are nice, no crime. It’s dull here but in a pleasant way. Gorgeous to boot.

Some will likely laugh at me but I've been really happy in Wichita. Plenty to do. Big but not too big. A lot of things going on to improve the city and make it more attractive. Plenty of job opportunities within aerospace. It doesnt have as much going on as other places but its got all of the big city amenities without feeling overwhelmingly big.

Any city in Tahiti. Or as far away from any large American city.

Nah, you're an early adopter, they're just behind.
People still chase the shiny objects and overlook things like affordability. They'll grow up.

Also, Austin is closed.
Apparently not. Neighbor just sold their house and the inspection is happening now. Buyer's car has California tags...

Underrated… in what regard? There’s so much to do? Such great scenery? Great weather?
It’s properly rated and it blows.

Has anyone mentioned Flit, Michigan yet?
Definitely worth considering. OP shouldn’t thumb his nose at the thought of Beaumont or Jennings either.

Dayton, Ohio if you like to finger and get fingered.
Also: copious amounts of fentanyl. You’ll just need to procure a dozen or so redhooded sweatshirts to fit in with Buckeye locals.

Keep thinking that. That’s why it hasn’t been overrun with Commifornicans.

Athens, Alabama.
The town of my birth is no longer. Bunch of goddamn Yankee engineers and plant workers taking over a sleepy railroad and cotton town. Had to leave because the concrete slowly creepin made me sad.
Y’all go ahead and buy a shitty garden home in Canebrake and devour some Whitts and Dubs for me.

Are you in Salmon, ID?
Posted on 2/8/23 at 1:51 pm to thedogman
Salmon is pretty awesome. Idaho Falls isn’t awful, either. Coure d’Alene has been invaded by Californians, apparently, but still an absolutely gorgeous place.

Damn. That sounds like Augusta National.

That’s pretty dark for the northern Rockies, oddly enough.
