Most restaurants are hiring. I know 4 college kids who just got jobs in last few weeks at locally owned restaurants. Still looking too.

I was a grocery stock boy at Winn Dixie in Central in the early 90s while I was in HS. I wasn't miserable though because most of the cashiers were HS chicks

Where is he located? Transportation is important. If he doesn't have any, he may want to apply for anything close to home.

Just have him cut yards around the neighborhood

That’s what I did and was rolling in the money way more than some dumb minimum wage job

Worked at a hardware/feed store when I was a youngster. Made enough dinero to keep me stocked with Marlboros and Bacardi wine coolers. Bought both without issue starting at age 14. It was a different time for sure.

But, that job was actually pretty rough—it just seemed better because I grew up on a dairy. Just about anything would’ve been better than that. I’ll probably try to get my own kids to work at the car wash in late high school years. That seems relatively easy work with a chance to meet babes (or maybe a cougar or two at least).

After that, I’d probably get them to work some kind of food service or maybe one of the smalker grocers like Rouse or Oak Point (locally).

Not fast food. The bigger full service restaurant types partied constantly.
