What a national embarrassment that we haven’t been back to the Moon in nearly 50 years

I find it fricking embarrassing. Really, we haven’t been back since 1972? 3 years from the initial landing? To be honest, I’m quite pissed off. What a national humiliation of this day. No way someone in 1969 would believe that we don’t have a moon base at this point, nevertheless not returning to the moon from 3 years into their future.

This is a fricking embarrassment. We should have planned for a 50th anniversary trip in the very least, but every President since Nixon has said we’re 10-15 years off from being at Mars? frick off, you fricking liars. We have to go back to the fricking Moon.

You know what the best thing since the Moon Landing would be? China landing on the Moon. I’d love to see that Chinese flag there. Love it. If that happens, you can bet your arse that within the year some American will be walking on the Moon, and then within the decade an American will be walking in Mars. China going to the Moon would be the best thing for the US Space Program since Sputnik. China, please land on the Moon, since NASA has been basically stagnant since 1972.

God I hope China lands on the Moon. I’d love nothing more than for that to happen. If the Earth were the size of a basketball, do you know how far the Moon would be from the Earth relatively speaking? 30 feet across the room. Now since 1972 with that same basketball as scale, do you know how far we’ve gone from the Earth? 3/8 of an inch. The space race is a glorified dick measuring contest. 30 feet vs 3/8 of an inch. We need another 30 foot cock in this and we’ll be on Mars within the decade, and certainly back to the Moon.

Yeah, crazy that we haven’t been back since 1972 to see what new technology has been developed up there.

We were threatened by the space aliens with their bases on the dark side of the moon.

We should never go back.

Saving the species? Some variation of Interstellar is inevitable. Might as well get the ball rolling as soon as possible.

Explain why we need to go back to the moon? It’s a graphite colored rock that apparently smells like gunpowder. Other than giving you a chubby, what would it accomplish?

What is the point of going back? Other than spending an enormous amount of money for something that benefits no one.

Landing on the moon isn't just a weekend getaway.

You need to consider the immense costs, diverted resources away from other NASA initiatives, justifications for the costs, and risk of human loss.

It isn't just something to take emotionally and lightly like you are doing.

Go back and look at my posts back in 2011. I’ve been saying for years I will be pissed off if this day occurs with no new moon landing. I never counted on it due to our leaders only thinking in 4 year intervals tops, but it’s still disappointing as frick.

Seriously, it’s come to the point where I have to depend on the Chinese to get this shite done. That’s very sad.

We got the information we needed when we went way back decades ago. That money can be put to better use elsewhere.

It's because we've been wasting all our money sending robots up to do "science" instead of cool shite like sending men to other planets or building a moon base.
