When they got in how long until they pulled off? If they didn’t have the key I would imagine it took them a little longer to get it started. If they just hopped in and drove off 100% the valet was in on it.

So I did some looking into this story. Tiger382 says he was at a work event this past Sunday evening. Come to find out the only thing on Sunday at the Westin was a Swingers Convention! Maybe swinging is his business

He may have (I misread the original post) but the swingers had the Westin booked all weekend.

Got my window busted out in valet in New Orleans. Only thing of value in there was a dozen ProV1s found laying next the truck. On camera, threw a brick. Missed the 1st time so not only did I have to replace the window, needed body work to repair front door dent. And sanitize the Hep/AIDS blood in the truck.

Didn't happen this time either. No one is stealing a generic f150
Your post didn’t happen baw, because F150’s generic or not don’t have on-star.

That would be a fun twist to this story

ETA: Saw a post about parking company being subcontractor. Don't know if that is true or how one would know that. That could be a problem if true.
Most hotels in big cities use a valet company. My SIL is a manager for a big valet service in Nashville. He is responsible for 3 hotels in downtown Nashville. They have insurance to cover damage to vehicles etc. He is always have to fill out claims for damage to vehicles.

No it was our work holiday party that got moved from January to July. Why July? No clue. I work for a plant and that’s the date that had been chosen. Was not part of the convention you’re talking about

If it was in a garage another question is how'd they get out the garage? You can't just drive out without paying, idiots might have used a credit card and most of the gates have cameras pointing in and out.

This is a pay per spot that is patrolled. No ticket or tollbooth

Was it a crew cab four wheel drive? My 20 AT4 was stolen from the Westin DFW, same exact scenario. On star disabled almost immediately, it was parked on the front row by the entrance. Those shite bag employees are in on it.

Who pays for the stolen vehicles? Hotel or his company?

It’s essentially always going to be the valet that assumes liability for the service if it’s a 3rd party… barring some exceptional incident where a hotel employee interjected themselves and contributed to the issue

Starting to get the runaround, or misinformation here. The Sr Hospitality Account Manager from Premium Parking called me. He says that it was 5:30 AM-7 AM on Sunday morning, not Saturday evening. Guess the kid that relayed the information to me didn’t know his facts.
Allegedly the thieves tried to get into 3-4 vehicles but had a “device” in their hand and got into my truck immediately, but sat in my truck for about an hour before starting it and driving off. Truck was under camera whole time. WTF was security doing during this time?
He says the key was in the box the whole time, just in the wrong slot, and the stand supervisor (guessing that’s his title) was supposed to call me and inform me they found it that day.
I’m still suspicious but feel like I don’t have much a leg to stand on and probably got stolen from thieves not affiliated from Valet

I really struggle with some of the losers here that do stuff like this
Who fricking cares man.

Admittedly I don’t know the case law, but I’d certainly argue that they have negligent security practices. Over an hour is plenty enough time to REASONABLY discover a security threat like that
Id want their written policies regarding how often they sweep the lot.
Tell them that is more than enough time to reasonable discover the threat, and they owe you the value of your truck.

Sounds like 2 prime suspects. The way you are just accepting these answers from them is making it way easier to get away with.
