That’s fricking bull shite. Louisiana seeks to benefit from increased trade relations with Cuba. Not to mention it’s my fricking right to travel and spend money to whichever country I choose. How many more countries will we be banned from traveling to?

Our biggest trading partner is Communist yet we somehow see Cuba as a persona non-grata

Hypocrisy at its finest

Cuban-Americans must really wield some power in the Florida presidential election and the coveted Floridian electoral votes

frick Trump for this. Pretend small govt phony bullshite

To me this is about Florida being a pivotal state in 2020 and Trump courting the vote in south Florida. From that standpoint...it may matter.
Just my .02.

Must not have hated it too much, considering Clinton took a shite-ton of the Cuban-American vote in 2016.

I support this, but still find it crazy that a government can tell it's people where they can not travel abroad.

You can still go. Cuba will accept your passport. If you're lucky, you'll even get a Cuban immigration official who won't stamp your passport but will instead stamp your visa. That way the US will never know that you visited when you return.

Ok, so I won't ask them to come with me. Their opinion doesn't affect where I want to travel.

Uhhhhh... he didn’t. You just can’t take a cruise there. Were you really planning one? Or just complaining for the sake of it?

Why, though? Sure, we don't like the way Cuba runs their government, but why is it the government's business if Americans want to visit. Sounds alot like big government to me.

It is amazing how some people think it's "conservative" to tell other people where they can and can not travel.

The same, "Merica! Guns! Low taxes!" people think it's perfectly fine to tell other Americans that they can't travel somewhere.

True conservatism is so rare these days.

And that's without getting into the entire "should we still be trying to embargo Cuba" thing. Because the policy seems to have worked so well.

I'm very sorry if 55 years ago, a few Cuban-Americans had some bad things happen to their ancestors. To use that as a reason to ban travel is beyond stupid.

We were in Havana three weeks ago.

Beautiful country. Friendly ppl. Would love to go back again in my lifetime.

BEAUTIFUL women. The average Cuban woman walking her kid to school, will put our finest in America to shame.
