Not doing that...I’ll take your word for it.
Sketchy as hell that they don’t even send a validation email, but maybe my expectations are too high given what this site is.

We need an explanation on how pops was able to validate the account using the OP‘s email or this story is suspect.
He literally states in the OP
quote:
I clicked on the first email where it wants you to verify your account and it brings me to their website.

We both use our last name as the first part.
I signed up for Gmail when it was still in beta, before it was open for general use. That was back when lots were still using AOL and dialup, and it was one of the first non ISP accounts you could get.
My account is more of a unique nickname style, but I helped my dad and brothers set theirs up too. They went to a more professional type of name, using last name and such. So all of theirs all look similar.

Yeah...but he also went on to say that his dad’s profile pic was already on the site...so the assumption was that the verification had been completed at that point.

In this bitch!
Make it truly awkward and confront him about it. I dare you.

Not necessarily. He could more than likely create his entire profile including pic, but until he actually validated his email, his account would not be active to chase fake poon on the site. It’s a pretty common practice with most online merchants. Email validation is just a method to try and screen out potential bots and other nefarious activity.
Also to the OP, get a new email address that doesn’t resemble your pops. If he’s creepin for poon online, you don’t want anymore fallout landing on you.

Also I can tell you from the few minutes I spent on that site, you can’t do much without paying money to purchase “points.”
One of the few laughs of the night was when my wife said my dad was wasting his time because there’s no way in hell he was paying to use the service (he’s notoriously cheap).

Can't argue with that.

Now that I’m thinking about it, I think I have registered for social sites that work this way. I recently signed up for meetup.com And it let me set everything up before validating.
But for a site like Ashley Madison, sounds like a terrible way to do it. What if instead of this being the OP’s old man, it’s a vindictive ex who sets up a profile using a pic of him?

Only a cuck would have a joint email with their wife

He’s just doing it for boob pics. Why do you have a joint email with your wife? You sound like a bitch.

We deleted the account and have decided not to say anything. Basically pretend it never happened. We’ll see if he ends up saying anything about it... if he’s even figured out his mistake by now. Dude is probably wondering why he can’t log into his account anymore. Sigh.
Sounds like you got busted to me.
