Has anyone pointed out that even if dad had a similar e-mail, he doesn't have the password to OP's e-mail and couldn't verify the account.

FWIW - Ashley Madison is pretty innocent; it could be a lot worse :-) I know you decided not to talk to Dad, but he needs to know what happened so he is aware & more careful. You don’t know, they may be looking for a threesome.
