He was somehow able to validate his account, sign in using your email, then create a profile including uploading pics without you ever getting an email notification?

I created a gmail account with one letter different from a good friend. We both receive notifications for each other. It's like google gets confused. I will grade this story as plausible.

We need an explanation on how pops was able to validate the account using the OP‘s email or this story is suspect.

Apparently you can upload a profile pic BEFORE validating your email. Because he did.
