Armadillos weren’t found in Ohio ? I had always assumed they were everywhere in the lower 48

They have shown up in Clarks Hill Lake over the years but it was rare and, according to the GA DNR, almost always the result of someone placing one in the lake - how they know that I have no idea, the same agency used to claim that water mocassins were unknown in Georgia north of I-20 and while it was sort of kind of true no one told the ones that most definitely lived north of I-20. They are certainly thicker just south and further west of Augusta now than they were just 20 or so years ago. They were there but not in the same numbers and pretty rare from about Plant Vogtle north and out to Thomson.
