Well Boys looks like the invasion has begun up north

What type of advice would you like to give the northerners on how to deal with their new tenants? 
I'll go first, the pic pretty much gives the angle at which most will be viewed in the wild but also remind them their yard will never look the same if a few decide to visit in the middle of the night. Any other advice they could use to prepare for these invaders?

Seeing them more and more on the shoulder of the highway dead, here in central Ky. They followed me up here when I moved lol

Reminder to not touch the carcass of dead ones due to the microorganisms that cause leprosy live in the animal. Micobacterium Leprae.

They are building a new neighborhood next to mine and we walk by it everyday with my dog
They tore down a bunch of trees so I see everything. The other day I had an armadillo just walk in the bushes next to us for a few hundred yards. Didn’t phase him one bit. It was 2pm and about 95 degrees

Alligators ain't far behind. One was killed recently on the south end of Clarks Hill Lake just north of Augusta, Georgia. They are very common now just below the last lock and dam on the Savannah River and getting more common above that lock and dam (lock isn't functional). Generally speaking in this part of Georgia they were almost always transplants north of I-20 with some exceptions just west of Augusta but that area and the area just to the south and west now has a bunch of the damned things. I used to hunt ducks about 10 miles south of the last lock and dam and almost never saw one....I would not hunt a dog in that area now. They are also moving north.

Armadillos are pretty fascinating creatures.
They are born as perfect quadruplets. For this reason they’re very valuable to science and can be studied for things like environmental impacts, differences in diet and a host of other things while accounting cleanly for genetic effects.
Gentle creatures, they’re also blind as a bat and the reason they’re more susceptible to road hazards and wondering where they shouldn’t with a depressed flight instinct (people’s yards).
They originally contracted the bacteria that causes leprosy from humans 400 to 500 years ago. While still present in the 9-banded variety, it’s a minority of individuals and transmission to humans is extremely rare, and much more easily treated than the old days if it occurs. However, it’s not recommended to keep them as pets, handle them without proper care, or put on the menu.
It’s best for you and these “mini dinos” to safely remove them off into the wild or call animal control.

I would just like to state for the record that those critters are very much formally known as armadillers and not the spanish pronounciation and again thank you for your attention to this matter

Well, the doctors at Carville Hospital lied to us when we used to sell them the creatures. They’d only pay for one of the sexes

Don't use anything but a .22
A single .22 is more deadly to them than 10 .45 rounds
