99% of people coming into my ER saying they were bit by a spider are full of shite, but that actually looks like a brown recluse bite

I worked in the ER for years. It’s amazing how many people think they were bitten by a spider but never actually saw the spider. More times then not it turns out to be MRSA and not a spider bite.

If a BR bite, you fuked. Ok, not actually fuked but it will take a few weeks to recover and that's the best its going to look. Hope it's not a BR bite and you have a speedy recovery.
On a side note, do you shave your legs??? If so, you missed a few. If not, well never mind???? Hope for a good recovery.

Erythema may be the most overused and supercilious word in medicine, whose adherents claim to prefer brevity and conciseness in communication, both written and spoken. Why say the four syllable word when red is just one and has five fewer letters? Even worse is erythematous. There is no good reason except to continue the tradition of jargon.

That’s a staph infection you knucklehead, not a spider bite. Keflex is the wrong medicine though because it does not cover MRSA. Should have given u Bactrim or clindamycin or doxycycline. I’m just saying. If it looks like it’s getting worse in two days you better go back and get rechecked.
