Weekly checks?

The Chase bank in Gonzales every friday evening is packed. People are parking in the grass and even park on the side of Airline Hwy. Do this many people still get paid where you have to deposit it in the bank? I remember back in the 80’s we had to wait to deposit my dads check from the plant he worked at.

Many contractors still use paper checks. Especially for employees who might be short term or go from job to job.

Might be cashing them if the check is drawn from that bank. You would be surprised how many people don't have a checking account.

My wife's office still uses paper checks, but they are only 4 employees. But, you can still deposit remotely using the Chase app.

RIP LNB in cortana mall, the first bank I banked with in the 80s. Back then you had to take off work or go on your lunch break because banks closed so early.

There are those companies who are so short on cash that you take a risk not cashing your check as soon as possible at the bank it is drawn on.
Doing a deposit means you get fees charged to you for a NSF deposit.
The work around is cash the check and take the cash and deposit it at your bank.
Just because you have direct deposit does not guarantee that the money will get to your account.
