Have three weddings this football season.

Sorry about that. Didn't mean to beat a dead horse. I have a wedding to attend this weekend and it's just irritating
You mean this weekend when LSU plays Syracuse in NY at 11 AM CST?
If you're going to pick a fall weekend, they chose wisely.

Genius above getting married in June. Sounds awesome.
What's the issue assuming both the wedding and reception are inside?

My son is the best man for a wedding on 7 Nov 15 at 1530. His friend is a Gator fan and probably doesn't give a shite about LSU v Ala playing but I am finding it hard to want to attend. Hopefully the game is at night.

newsflash: not everyone's life revolves around football

My only rule for our wedding was it could not be during football season Sept-Dec. At first I was ridiculed by family and in-laws. I stuck to my guns because I had friends that would not be able to attend otherwise (for "shallow reasons" or not). We had ours in early August (indoors) and the entire family thanked me. We didn't have anyone miss due to kids school, people in college, etc. Family and friends from all over the country were able to attend due to the summer timing. Now, the idea has spread and others in the family are doing the same thing and scheduling weddings out of football season and in summer.
After the first year, something else was brought to light. Your anniversary will be celebrated every year for the rest of your life. Choosing the wedding day has impacted far more than just that one day.

I'm having a destination wedding next September. Wedding Friday night. Dudes watching the game by the pool getting hammered Saturday. What's the problem?

If this bothers you, don't go. Pretty simple.

Most original thread OT has ever seen. Why hasn't anyone asked this question before?

Try having a baby during football season, if this irks you

It's been discussed once or twice
Well...maybe more than that
Or at least mentioned a few times..
Someone may or may not have written an article on it
Some have vented about it
It comes up in some related threads
Sometimes its not the bride or grooms fault though
But the topic goes way back
Ok I need to go back to "work"

Babies during football season are great. They sleep all freaking day and you can just lay on the couch with them sleeping on your chest and never get up.

I'll just say that this is the 2nd year in a row that I'll be missing the LSU/Bama game because of weddings.
If my wife wasn't in both of them, I wouldn't attend, but since she is/was a bridesmaid, I'll attend and have a great time.
And still probably watch the game on my phone
