My mom's family has always had their family reunion the last Saturday in September. I almost always go and will stay for a while and even watch the away games there sometimes. For home games, depending on who the opponent is, I will sometimes stop by for a few minutes to show my face. Now, my dad's family has decided to start having their reunion the first Saturday of September. I'm not going for sure this year and who knows in the future.

Do you skip out on weddings, reunions, parties, etc when LSU is playing? Or do you suck it up and go just to keep the peace?

The only event I absolutely could not skip was my brother's wedding in 2007, but we ended up putting a huge arse screen and projector to show the Auburn game at the reception.

Missing my gf's cousins wedding to watch the WVU game. Whoever gets married during football season(on a Saturday) is a disgrace to the state.

LSU plays 11 to 13 times a year. other than the birth of your FIRST born, i cant think of a good reason to miss a game.

My wifes uncle is getting married the day of the home opener...and he gets season tickets. I hope she has fun,me and the kids will be at the game. You just do not get married during football and hunting season. Period.

Why do you miss the game? Other than the past 2 seasons, LSU has played Arkansas on a Friday every year since 1996.
