I'm getting married later this year. (yeah i know, i know)

I had a previous very brief (like two months) relationship with my best man's current gf. It was years ago and before I started dating my fiance. He asked for my blessing and they've been dating longer than we've been together (5 years).

My fiance doesn't care for girl and doesn't want to invite her. I'm sure it's because we dated. I think she's being unreasonable but she sees it as me choosing him over her.

Am I wrong?

She's being unreasonable and acting like a child.

Your fiance is very insecure. Why would you even want to marry someone like that?

Why would you start your marriage off by doing something that causes friction with your wife?

Wife > bf > bf's gf

Dude if that's a big issue for y'all, your marriage is going to be awful.

She's wrong. Period.

Prayers sent. Is she also upset about a girl you dated for 6 months freshman year of high school that didn't even touch your Johnson?

She wants to not invite your best man's SO of five years? And for no good reason? Dude.

What are some of the other warning signs of her being a crazy controlling bitch that you've observed?

Tell her you need a detailed list of all her prior lovers so you, too, can vet their relationships.

She needs to get over herself, put on her big girl pants, and act like a mature adult. You are marrying HER not this girl you briefly dated.

My husband still works with his ex that he lived with years before I ever met him. She has been with another guy almost as long as I've been with my husband. Not only have I never gotten jealous of her...I actually get along with her and we've gone on vacations with them. Only reason they weren't invited to our wedding was because it was a really small one only for close friends/family.

As for your best man...I wouldn't want to be in a wedding where I'm not allowed to bring the person that I love as my date. What does he think of this?

You may want to rethink what you are about the do......if she is already asking you to pick her over your friends, you will be miserable within a couple years.

It honestly just sounds like the four of yinz need to get together and bang it out. Just a good solid partner swapping group sex session should straighten everything out. Communication is key in these scenarios.

Really want to piss get off? Ask her to tell her maid of honor that she can't bring a date.

Yeah, that's pretty messed up.

Even if all the invites aren't +1s, it's SOP that the BM and MoH get to bring a date.

Pretty fricked up to have to tell your best man "hey man, technically you're allowed to bring a date, but it can't be your GF of 5 years."
