You can't not invite the best mans gf.
You want real advice, run before you marry a petty woman

Your fiancé doesn't want to invite your best man's long time girlfriend because you once went out with her over 5 years ago before yall were dating?
There is so much wrong with that I don't know where to start.
Good luck with that marriage.
How are you going to handle it when she tells you you can no longer see your friends anymore after yall get married?

My advice would be to consider every post in this thread. You're getting good stuff here, not the typical OT bullshite.

Welcome to fricking marriage.

After? Sounds like she already calls all the shots now. I bet she already tells him who he can and cannot see.
OP....you better put your foot down on this one and insist your best man bring his gf. Or you are just setting yourself up for a life of marriage misery.

What lions club y'all tying the knot at?

No, you aren't wrong. It would be trashy to not invite her. What if he ends up marrying her? They will both always remember this petty slight. Tell her to get over it and concentrate on enjoying herself, it's a day she should concentrate on joy and your commitment to her.
I had a couple of dates with one of my husband's groomsmen 2 years before we got married. They both knew about it, no one cared!
Insecurity in your woman is a bad sign, Archer.

Anything that happened before you met your SO that she holds against you is bs.

I say invite her and don't tell your fiance. Best man will have to fall on the sword and take the blame for bringing his gf. She wouldn't make a scene about it at the wedding...or would she?

You are signing up for many more unreasonable positions. I really mean that.
Eta I think there is a 95% chance your post is a troll. If it's not you're an idiot.

If it's your best mana gf then your fiancé doesn't really have any control over her coming

You're going to marry this beast, spawn a few kids, she'll be an insufferable bitch but you'll hang In there for the kids and waste decades of your life in misery, your kids will hate you anyway because she'll make you look pathetic and weak and you'll die lonely and broken.
One of your last thoughts before dying besides "Thank God it's over" will be of this fricking thread and how you ignored the advice given by people who have been around enough to know. Ignored at your peril.

Get a handle on your woman now or don't waste your time getting married. Next thing you know she will be pissed at you for working till 5pm and wearing your arse out for going out of town on business.
Does she make you say, "yes ma'am" yet?
ETA: opinion should be based on pic

You are not wrong.
My idea is to hang out just the four of you in a chill setting as soon as possible. BBQ at your place or happy hour at a small, quiet place. Tell your fiancée the day of that you invited the best man to hang with y'all and see what happens. Maybe she just needs confirmation that there's nothing there. Maybe she's just being dramatic or stressed. Either way I think unfolding the situation without overthinking on her part a few times before the wedding can help or at least be good popcorn material for the OT.
Also, tell her you are not choosing between her and your best man. She is your choice obviously, just as you are hers. She should respect your relationship with your best man and realize the past is the past. She is your future and that's more important.

Your future wife is immature and lacks any sense of trust... weddings are stressful and can bring out the worst in people but beware.. this is how she handles stress and you will the blount of her ills in the coming years.. buyer beware..
