As I sit at this meeting listening to all the BS it is to do one project, I’m just shocked how long some of this simple stuff takes to do

And yet we've been in Afghanistan for 18 years while sitting on the best air force and navy the world has ever seen.

Yep wars are simple

Pretty sure he is saying that "if it only takes world wars 4 or 6 years to complete, why are these meetings at my job taking so long?"

"We," were only involved in WWII for three years and 8 months, and in WWI for 1 year and 7 months.

If WW2 was baseball in the year 2000

Russia = Andy Pettitte
USA = Mariano Rivera

2001 World Series was the initial war on terror. Yankees vs Diamondbacks.

Yankees = USA
Diamondbacks = Taliban/evil

For that reason alone, I figured there was no way Arizona could win. As soon as that broken-bat single dropped beyond the infield dirt, I knew the world had changed forever. And we were in for the Long haul.

It’s because there aren’t any horrifying consequences if the project isn’t finished quickly. Pushing out the ECD isn’t as bad as Hitler taking over the world.

This is the example I use when gun control advocates make that cliche and condescending statement that goes something like, "You really think you people would stand a chance with your assault rifles if the government really wanted to attack Americans?"

Well, a bunch of goat herders fended off the Soviet Union and have weathered the mighty American military so, yea. I do.

I'm not for or against gun control. But if America had used its military might to its fullest against hose goat herders they wouldn't have "weathered the mighty American military" for longer than 2 hours. We held back and we held back BIG TIME.

If America really wants to frick shite up, she can frick shite up.

Who is “we”?

The knockout punch and material was provided by us in part, but in both wars it definitely wasn’t the US who endured most of the losses. Give credit where credit is due
