Bidenomics already has it covered... can't afford it

True - I used to enjoy a run to Chick-Fil-A for the family on a busy Friday night as much as the next person. But at $60 bucks for 4 combo meals and a couple of shakes for the kids I've cut that out, slapped together some chicken sandwiches at home and rented a beach house for a week with the savings. .

would put a dent in the consumption of fast food by all these obese people walking around.

These fat lazy fricks are already willing to pay a 50-100% tax to have their fast food delivered to them so they don't have to put pants on and leave the house.

Not sure a government tax on top of thar would change their behavior

Dont be surprised when they do this to every aspect of your life, if this is your desire.

A recipe for dysfunction.

We should be eliminating direct taxation on Americans, not adding more.

We broke away from Britain because of a 3% tax on tea.

I don't trust them, obviously. Just speaking in hypotheticals.

Use the money for that and I'm for it.

That’s already what’s happening. The healthy are paying higher premiums because of the fatties and smokers.

You gotta get away from people that worry about this shite so much that they talk about it.

but I agree they should pay a "fat tax"

IMO it should be within the health insurance industry even within a group. I have a partner that has been in the same firm with me for over three decades. He is a smoker and has been morbidly obese since we both started. He pays the same for health insurance as I do (expect for a very small health incentive I get) and the insurance company spends more a month for his meds than they have spent on me in the last decade.

The ingredients are the problem

Americans ate a lot of fast food in 70s and 80s but obesity only took off when these companies began to heavily engineer what they were putting into the food.

The welfare state is a crime. But dumbass commie progressives blame capitalism. Our corrupt arse leaders have made it to where the middle class subsidizes corporations. The felons and burnouts work 24 hours a week at Walmart and McDonald’s then get their welfare check.

The raising of minimum wage is the next cut into America. Dems win the pandering votes, the corporations cut their hours, they still qualify for welfare, the corporations raise prices for the labor cost increase, and the poor bastard working a job and raising a family making 55 grand can’t even afford a McDonald’s night with the kids anymore.

Obamacare did the same thing. Pander and everyone vote for me. What happened ? Walmart cut everyone’s hours so they stay part time and don’t qualify for insurance. They are on the same Medicaid they were before. Only people that suffer are you. But keep voting democrat, it’ll get better
