Seems like some Californians wrote a song about that a while back.

Up until the 70's it was awesome. It became overcrowded and filled with utopians.

No way you’re telling me more people live in California??

I'm telling you a metric frick tonne of Trump supporters live in California. Maybe other Trump supporters should consider that when they characterize California as nothing but liberal trash that we need to get rid of.

I believe the quote I was responding to was something like, "The problem with California is that it's full of Californians." Californians happen to come in many different flavors, some saltier than others.

I feel like the tide is turning here. The DA being replaced in the city shows that the masses are looking for some changes. How crazy would it be if California eventually became the middle of the road moderate state? That would be utopia.

California deserves a lot of shite.

My home state is ruined by illegal and mass immigration, and shitty politics and management.

The major Metros ruin the whole state, which isn't unique. The entire state of Illinois is run by Chicago, but people living outside of the city are pretty country. California isn't dissimilar, there's some true baws out in Northern and Central Cali

True. Even up until about 2000 it was pretty amazing. At least NoCal and San Diego were. Never been a fan of LA/OC. It's criminal what those people did to it though.

I grew up in the foothills of San Diego, late 50's ---late 60's. It was an amazing place to live. 1/2 hour to 6000ft. mountains, 3/4 hour to the beach, 1 1/2 hour to the desert, 3/4 hour to Mexico.
I left in 68 and you couldn't get me to live there for now for nothing. Siblings...one brother, two sisters still live there....brother ready to move, sisters will die there.
Most of California was conservative then and a lot of it still is today, just not enough. But to the OP'S point, it is a beautiful state!!

It’s helps explain their level of environmentalism to some extent.

See, I hear this all the time, and yet they have somehow still not figured out how to do prescribed burning in their beautiful forests. This has led to an incalculable amount of environmental damage due to out of control forest fires (CO2 emissions), the death and destruction of many animals and animal habitats, and less important (to them) the loss of homes for residents there.

It is almost a yearly thing there. More amazing is the fact that after dealing with yet another 100,000 acre fire, they admit that they do a woefully insufficient amount of controlled burns. Why? Because the state won't give liability insurance to the private landowners that want to do the burning on their land (half of California land is privately owned).

For an environmentally conscious state, they shite the bed every year with this devastation.

California is beautiful. Did the San Fransisco/Napa thing a few years back.

It’s gorgeous
It has about as perfect weather as you can get.

It’s too perfect. Those that live there have never had a difficulty. They are spoiled and soft.
