Just did a week on the PCH, California is stunningly beautiful. Mountains right up against the beach, canyon after canyon of breathtaking viewpoints. It’s helps explain their level of environmentalism to some extent. i would post pics if I do could remember how. Wine tasting in Sonoma in am, lunch in Carmel, whale watching in afternoon in Monterrey. Big Sur was incredibly beautiful. stay out of the cities and people are really nice as well. drove over 1000 miles, it’s a big damn state. lots of wild animals to hunt as well

If by hot looks you mean 2/3rd of our nation's fruits and nuts.
Reality is we'd be fricked if California goes under, Democratic haven or not.

The major Metros ruin the whole state, which isn't unique. The entire state of Illinois is run by Chicago, but people living outside of the city are pretty country. California isn't dissimilar, there's some true baws out in Northern and Central Cali

California is a lot like Louisiana. Take New Orleans and Baton Rouge out of louisiana, and it is a pretty great state. Take Los Angeles and San Francisco out of California, and it's a pretty great state.

The sections near the coast are nice, the central and eastern part of the state are basically dessert and getting dryer.

We would adjust. Almost all of their fruits and nuts can be grown in Mexico or Florida depending on the nut/fruit.

I think you vastly overestimate their ability to produce and transport without issue.

frick em’. They don’t or won’t set control burn laws in effect to keep the underbrush burned off (with a lot of other things they mess up). If they did this, you’d not see the raging forest fires you see on tv burning shite to the ground. BUT they seem to think they know more than anyone. Save the trees until they go up in flames. You do realize this is why they can’t keep fires from spreading, correct? You have to thin the stuff out and have new overgrowth.

Part of it is beautiful. Most of SoCal is ugly as frick.

any state that big is going to have beautiful lanscapes...it also has some pretty ugly landscapes. It wouldn't even make the top 10 in scenery for me.
