I have a friend and a coworker, both black, who have incidents of having a cop pull a gun on them while either jogging (with a hoodie) or while asleep in a car waiting for a friend to come out.

He was on his way to basketball practice but had track practice earlier, so fell asleep in the back of the car while they were on their way to pick someone up.
The person driving went inside and left my friend in the car. He said he woke up to the cop knocking his gun against the window by his face.

I have a brother and a friend who both had a gun pulled on them on a routine traffic stop in high school. They are white. So what’s your point?

I was arrested when I was 21 due to mistaken identity. I had no idea wtf what was happening. It was a shitty experience but when I saw the guy they were looking for I did think we looked ALOT alike. I’m not rioting and trying to defund the police over it. Nor do I get afraid when’ve been pulled over since that time.
