Common sense is somehow racist today, even when it comes from people of color. It's all about pushing your agenda and not the truth of reality.

This is just demonstrably false on so many accounts. I had a dipshit cop put his gun to the back of my head without violating a single law or resisting his orders at all.

Fact: not all cops are decent, level-headed people.
Fact: not all cops are shitheads

There plenty people of all races I don't like. I have said many times I can go through about 500 things about a person before considering skin tone to determine whether I like or dislike a person.

That is awesome and 100% accurate. The media should be sending this type of message rather than sensationalizing for ratings and pushing Left ideology.

I have to believe most Americans agree with his opinion. But we have no voice.

That is the rare exception.
You are right, there are bad cops, but... people have taken the rare exceptions and portrayed as the norm.
That isn't true.

You're right. There's some dipshit cops out there. And i bet had you not been the better man that day, you could have been George Floyd'ed.

There's shitty people in the world. Water is wet. Just b/c you encountered one terrible cop, doesn't mean now you should fear the police.

This is anecdotal evidence, yet the person he was responding too's post isn't anecdotal evidence?

This 100% did not happen

Well, I certainly have a healthy fear of them, because I saw how quickly doing nothing wrong turned into the barrel of his gun pressed into my skull. Also, the cop got a 2 week suspension for assaulting an innocent 16 year old. He should have been fired, but accountability is and always has been a major problem.

I'm sure I'll be called a liberal or worse for saying it, but there is a reason why marginalized people fear cops. My parents just so happened to have a connection at the top of LSP or my situation likely would have been completely brushed under the rug.

Well, it absolutely did happen. It happened on I-10 between Bluebonnet and Siegen in 1999. You have an agenda and a bias that makes you instantly want to discredit this truth, so that's on you.

I got pulled over for speeding once. I'm white, and the State Trooper was black. Yes, I was speeding, but this was clearly racial, because......we were of different races.

See, it can work both ways.

When I was in high school, my family was coming back from DFW airport. Dad was driving. We were stopped in Grapevine and they did a full felony stop with guns drawn.

After about 30 seconds, they disengaged. A robbery had occurred by someone driving a car just like ours. But, once they got a look at the occupants of our car, they knew it they had the wrong car. The lead officer explained what happened and apologized.

My former secretary had the US Marshals raid her house looking for the previous tenant at the houes she wss renting. The man was a Mexican national who had moved out six months before. She and her boyfriend got greeted by a morning raid at gunpoint. There was no explanation. There was no apology.

That's about the dumbest argument you could possibly make. Did the cop "smell something" and search your car? Did the cop repeatedly yell at you, gun drawn, to keep your hands on the wheel after you reached for your insurance and registrations? If anything, your argument just said that a black cop did his job in a very professional manner. Are you implying that black cops are more professional than white cops?

Stupid post is stupid.

didn't happen, you put too much information about someone else's story for this to be believable.

I had a gun pulled on me when I was speeding in lakeview after Katrina. The electricity was still out, it was 1 AM in the morning, and I was driving a beater at the time. Cop said he had been pulling over mostly looters. I was a dumb high school kid just driving around with my friends. Very frightening experience but I don’t blame him. I was being an idiot. Called my parents to come pick us all up. I learned my lesson and also appreciate the cop taking it easy on us.

Meh, leftists will just shout that he is ignorant and wrong then top it off by labeling him an uncle Tom.

ETA: Now that I started reading through the replies here, all you have to do is go down 6 or 7 replies and check out BowlJackson's input where he calls him an "ignorant dumbass". It's like I'm a psychic or something. Either that, or they roll out the same old tired tropes for anyone who doesn't think like them.

Whew, guess we should go and dig up all of the non-criminals erroneously killed by police and tell them that they shouldn't be scared.
