Very bad PR move by WC officials.

LOL... Especially considering the PR dept is the mayor himself.

I live inside the city limits of a comparable town.. City hall/town government is a tiny building staffed by a mayor and probably under ten subordinates of whom 5 or 6 work solely because the town also runs the power/water systems so they have to process payments daily... It's crazy that such "detached" governments still exist today.

Think the point old Nakamato is going for here is the shite hole of White Castle should not ever employ a full-time mayor at all. He gets that $50k isn't getting rich but the reality is the fool should be pulling down $18k per a la Springfield or wherever the frick.

You turn about 100 reporters like Lee Zurick loose in the shitty small towns all over the state and let them do their thing. Would be fcking greatness.
The mayor, parish presidents, chief of police would be found to be corrupt at a 50% clip.

I am thoroughly confused. Some guy got arrested in a White Castle when I would have thought Louisiana had Krystals if anything and you were raised in a casino?

Between this and WBRZ's Nakamoto, this is encouraging to me as it makes me believe that journalism isn't completely dead and some in the business still believe that the profession exists to hold politicians and the gov't in general accountable.

Nah, I was told it got its name after nearby Nottaway Plantation which resembles a small castle and is.....you guessed it....white.

The daughter of the owner of Nottoway plantation wrote a book titled The White Castle.
