They'll be trashed and smelling like skunk weed in no time.
So they will become like any other rideshare or cab service?

Those Waymo’s will quickly learn what culture is

I'm just skeptical about this in the New Orleans atmosphere.
You mean high humidity or what? Be specific please

They're out and about in Atlanta already. I don't think I've ever seen a single person actually riding in one. I'm way too skeptical to get in one as of now.

Yep, I've seen them all over the place in Buckhead and the city. They're pretty good-driving from what I've observed, although it's not hard to separate yourself from all of the shitty drivers in Atlanta. Haven't ridden in one yet.

Do they know how to avoid the potholes?
Also, do they know how to respond to a carjacking by 'teens.'

Rode them in San Francisco and thought they were great...just remember to tell it your done (hit a button on the app) at the end of the ride or it will just sit there in the middle of the street. Ask me how I know

Rode one in SF about two months ago and it was cool - at that time it was slightly more expensive than Uber but not by much
The main problems I see in NO would be massive potholes destroying the cars since the AI probably can't avoid them or terrible directions driving people into the FQ and getting stuck due to pedestrian traffic.

Took one of these when i was in Austin last month. Preferable to the general Uber experience
You don't like someone talking on their bluetooth headset the entire ride while being stingy on the AC with at least 4 signs in the car asking for tips?

I have endured some awful cab and Uber rides due to poor driving, bad conversation and drivers who smelled like camel sweat. Would be willing to give this system a try.
Besides, I have friends who use these in California and recommend them.
And you are not pressured to leave a tip.

Same. Shared it with a colleague and we agreed it was the best Uber driver we have had.

All these cultcha responses are wrong.
Once ICE depopulates Jefferson parish of the Hispanics, crime in Orleans parish will be solved and the economy of greater New Orleans will boom.

I see them all the time by the office and they drive significantly better than most idiots out there. Very efficient at actually going when the light turns, making sure they can make it before it turns, not leaving a mile between them and the car in front, etc. I wish they were mandated

What if someone gets in and decides to take a nap? Better than the street...

I want to see one of these Waymos cross Bourbon on a Saturday night.
