It looks like a raw porterhouse steak that's been sitting in the sun for 3 days.

This obviously for the men, because women don't really have a choice in the matter, but if given your druthers, would you watch your children be born?
This is a hypothetical world where your wife won't bring up your absence every week for the next thirty years.
I really have no desire to be part of that process, just present me with the fruit of my loins all clean and swaddled in pink or blue.
Hell, my Dad was not present for any of his children's births. Each time he took my Grandfathers, his brothers and any other men that showed up to the hospital fishing until the work was over. No one had a problem with it in the 70s and 80s.
But I don't think men get that option anymore, do they?
IMO any man who has a choice in the matter, and isn't in the room when their children are born is a loser. I can't imagine not being there when mine were born. It was the most humbling, amazing thing i've ever witnessed in my life. I get goosebumps thinking of seeing my son taking his first breath of air.

I got a little more involved in my sons delivery than I anticipated. Nurse told me to hold my wife's leg so that she had leverage to push and I was thinking no big deal someone will be along shortly to take over. I was wrong I saw everything from my wife pooping herself to when the doctor cut her so that she didn't tear. Doc is doing the cutting and was like you might not want to watch this, but didn't really give me time to look away. I cut the cord and helped clean him up. It was a good experience but I would have much rather been up around the head and not on the business end of things.

or maybe we are just good fathers who appreciate the miracle of birth.

It's not a miracle. It happens thousands of times each day. You're not special because you knocked up your old lady.

We waited to find out the sex on our first child. So, hell yes I was in that room. I cut the cord, and presented my wife with our first born son. The second child, we knew the sex... However I still wouldn't miss cutting the cord. It was funny too because right before the baby came, the doctor was putting her gloves on and accidentally put some kind of line or something in her eye and starting screaming. Everyone ran to clean her eyes out while my wife was laying there in labor. I found funnier than others I think though.

Oh yeah, it's a total cliche to state that the moment of my child's birth was a life changing experience
Nothing true about it at all.

Was in the front row for both of ours, really didn't think I could do it going in to the delivery room, but cut the cord on both. Was the first person to see both of my daughters, very blessed experience.

In the old days the men didn't go in the room to see their children being born.
Seems like holding her hand is okay, but watching from the other end would be a huge invasion of privacy

Two things never happened again after that. GeauxxxTigers23 never laid a finger on Porterhouse steak again... and Mrs. GT23 never received cunnilingual pleasures again.
