25 year olds are adults with professional jobs. I feel like more people are giving advice to their 18 year old self.

re: What's the largest keg party you've ever attended?
Posted by Pkin on 8/9/15 at 8:29 pm to Paul Allen
Swim team at LSU used to throw these massive parties, bigger than any of the fraternity parties.
Not sure the keg count but I'm sure those Parties are a top Lsu contender.

Neither surprise me.
Yes, seriously. He said im sitting in my living room QBing these events.. As if he was there himself
Most people in here have probably read a few books and taken a few history classes... That's where most of the opinions in here are stemming from. It's funny that you think you understand the effects of atomic bombs by reading about it in your history class. Please expose yourself to a large amount of radiation and report back.
Telling me to STFU because we had young men dying in Europe was ridiculous. I mentioned that I've been there because it really does add to ones understanding of those events, far more than taking a history class ever would. I have a tremendous amount of respect for our fallen D-Day soldiers.
Breesus, I realize that you are upset that I said in the Millinials thread that it's sad for people in their mid twenties to be living with their parents, I didn't realize you'd get so butthurt. I hope random insults towards all females makes you feel better about living with your parents when I've been financially independent since I was 18
Goodnight :daughter:

Obviously I'm not "ok" with the fire bombings... Or any of the other war crimes.
But arguing that causing hundreds of thousands of innocent people to die of radiation poisoning isnt as bad as slaughtering groups in other ways is just absurd. It was definitely stooping to their level.
People are so quick to throw around the word "ignorance" when everyone here (including myself) is truly ignorant to the effects of atomic bombs. The United States has never had to deal with something like that.

Breesus you've been arguing both sides, not sure if you're just trolling.
Does everyone you know think the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were justified and proud moments in American history?

Those aren't facts, those are speculations.
And all "facts" given are saying millions "probably" would have died. Also, all Japanese war crimes mentioned were against other countries.
Nothing on the scale of Hiroshima and Nagasaki has ever happened to the United States.

I've been to the beaches of Normandy and to the American cemetery there. I've also been to Pearl Harbor and to Japan. I don't live in a box and drink the American History Book Koolaide. I know what happened there.
Soldier on soldier combat is different than a-bombing two cities. America is better than that. I'll always stand by that.

Your name has USMC in it. There's no point in arguing with you.
They treated the Chinese terribly but stooping to that level is pretty sad.
Other people in here are getting emotional about their fathers being in the war. That is completely irrelevant.
I love America but I don't understand how anyone can think a-bombing two large cities was justified.

The kamakazis were soldiers. Yes, they used extreme tactics.
However, a-bombing two large cities and killing 200,000+ people is on an entirely different level. Nothing like that has ever happened to the United states.
Please inform me of something the Japanese did that was worse than what we did to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
