Wash cloth, wash rag, worsh cloth, or worsh rag?

Growing up Hillbilly I heard it called wash rag and worsh rag depending on the speaker's non-mountain influences. I never heard it called a "cloth" until I went to college.

How do you say it?

This is just as good of a post as some others I've seen so shut up.

I say washcloth. Washrag is the same sized towel but is no longer fit for washing your body.

Similar to your "worsh" the STL folk like to say "warsh".

I've always called it a wash cloth. Most of my family calls it a wash rag though

I’ve always said wash cloth if it’s a legit towel type material, and a wash rag if it’s an old tshirt or something.

Wash cloth.

Never knew there was a dispute about the name or effectiveness until college when my roommate was like, "What's up with the rag in the shower?"

I said, "My wash cloth?"

This dude started rolling laughing/saying it was dirty so I asked, "Well, what do you use?"

He said, "The lufa thing hanging on the drain knob on the faucet."

I may or may not have been peeing on it for months thinking some chick left it there...
