Was there a better club scene than The Dark Room circa early-mid 2000s?

Cold drinks, great bands, babes, cool people (for the most part besides when the private school crowd got in). Also, had very clean smoking areas. Any one got some good stories from there?

"Any TD headline that ends in a question mark, the poster wants answered by the word yes."

The Dark Room was an all ages venue where high school kids hung out. My friends' band played there Junior year.

"Club" is the wrong word for my entry, but Sams Boat on Richmond from 1994-2002?"

Ther was nothing better than day drinking at Sams on a Sunday before any Monday holiday. Women everywhere. If you struck out Ricks Cabaret was behind it. If you lost all of your decency Tantra was behind that. After hours Bar. Saw a man being walked on a leash there once.

But Sams was awesome.

Yes. Name any club in town during the 80's.

Studio 54. I'll take coked-up, legendary sluts over some chicks drinking wine coolers.

God DAMMIT! I was coming post Club Neo off Burbank circa 1996.

As for the OP I don't remember this Dark Room. Where was it? I was married and having kids by 2000s but usually hear and know about stuff like that in my city.

OHHHH. That explains why I didn't know about it.

When I was a teen, we had The Pit off Highland for rock/metal music and 2010 till ~91 then Club Nouveau for dance clubs.
