The guy blew up a plane killing over 100 people. Wiki He would definitely be considered as a terrorist leader nowadays if not at the time.

Isn't there a fact out there (or just a myth?) that he spent something like 5 or 6 figures a month solely on rubber bands used to brick his money? I remember something like that years ago.

According to the net, he spent around $2500 a month in rubber bands. The crazy part was he lost $2.1 billion to rats chewing on the stacks.

Back then he was worth over $30 billion and if he was doing that level of business today, he would be over $150 billion.

He most certainly would be worth more than quite a few nations yearly GDP. To put that in a US perspective, his yearly income rivaled or surpassed some US states government spending today versus what he was pulling $22 billion a year 30 years ago.

The ones to really fear are the ones youve never heard of. The ones making the biggest news will eventually be killed by the other, bigger, drug lords. They just take care of business efficiently and try to keep things out of the papers. El Chapo also isnt the biggest leader, he just became the face of that syndicate in the news.

Didn't he start bombing buildings?
Yes

I think he also took down a commercial plane to take out one person.

I always found it fascinating that he struggled with figuring out what to do with his physical dollars. I think lost like 10% to rats, mold, etc.

Are you saying that Escobar didn't have his people do the plane bombing because he did.
