I spent too much time there from 87 til 91 or so. Spent many a blurry night at The Bayou. I lived a couple of blocks away on E State. The whole area was a bit *underground* back in the day lol

Last year it was open, my best friend worked for the engineering department and I was still in school.

Ate lunch there every day and got a good buzz for the afternoon.

I was at LSU mid/late 90s and they used to have quarter pool and $1 rolling rocks on Wednesdays I believe. Always great for a cheap night out.

I was just thinking about how many sketchy characters I met there. The Bayou was a place where you could have probably been arrested every time you went there in the late 80s. It was filled with that generation's version of Antifa except they weren't rebelling against a political system: They were rebelling against sobriety and responsibility lol. Ah, simpler times.

Wasn’t there some Tool type band that was fairly big locally in the very late 90’s/early 2000’s? Name was something like ____ Acid or something.

I was at LSU from 2003-2007. The live music scenes was awesome. My good friend played in a 90s rock cover band named Otherwise and we would go hang at the caterie every time they played. So much fun.

I also really loved a local band out of Mandeville named Pandemic. They used to play at Clicks a lot. One of my favorite live bands regardless of local or famous. They were awesome and I was sure they were going to make it big. They ended up breaking up though.
