Is Trump deluded by his win in 2016?

That election was seen by many as a referendum on Hillary and/or the Clintons and not so much pro trump.

Imo, Trump had a strong support base and then a lot of curious voters.

This time around, without a Hillary as the opponent, is it going to be a cold shower to Trump’s base?

A referendum is literally based on the popular vote.

Biden is less charismatic than Hillary and Hillary had no charisma at all. The most charismatic candidate always wins.

PS: You should try cold showers. They're great.

I'm not making any kind of "muh popular vote, muh electoral college" statement. Trump ran a brilliant campaign and won because of it. While Clinton was focused on winning the nation (which she did), Trump was focused on winning the districts that mattered (which he did). Trump won, fair and square, because he did a better job than Clinton did.

Just saying that, by definition, that was not a referendum. Basic civics lesson.

This is something the hardcore Trumpers underestimate. HRC was an abjectly horrible candidate, whereas Biden merely screams mediocrity.

Uh, Biden screams dementia. He doesn't know who he is, where he is, or what he is. He has no idea what he's doing. He's a puppet and it's sad to watch.

"I'm Joe Biden's husband, Joe Biden!"

I don't think Trump worked any harder than Clinton did, but he definitely worked a lot smarter.

I've noticed most of the folks that assume it is a easy slam dunk for trump aren't surrounded by folks with diverse opinions.

Hilary thought she was up against a clown that had no chance. she believed if she showed up she would win.

the clown won because of that mentality, that clown also worked his arse off and people gave him a chance.

he is my favorite clown of all time
