That's kind of the problem. Walmart wages are so low that even its workers have to get on food stamps. In other words, the taxpayer is subsidizing Walmart. Corporate welfare.

Wal-Mart's wages aren't meant for someone to build a career or base their entire earnings off of...

The only fast that bitch is capable of is a speed snatch into the KFC bucket for the last drumstick.

Just my opinion but Wal-Mart has done so much to take over retail, the least they could do is become a more employee friend business. I worked two years out of college as a salary manager and man what a miserable job and place.

Walmart hate is bullshite. In fact no other retailer has done more to alleviate poverty

Still I don't shop there, not that I wouldn't.

Again. You aren't supposed to make a career out of being a cashier at Wal-Mart.

If you choose to make a career out of working for Wal-Mart, fine...their managers and regional directors make good money. But you don't start that path by demanding $15/hr with no skills. You start that path by working your arse off, including a second job.

Two $10/hr jobs for 80 hours total gets you over $40k gross a year...that's a livable wage in most of this country.

I just became friends with her on facebook. I asked her about the 15 day fast and she said she is fasting Monday through Friday next week.

You are wrong, as it pertains to certain (large) groups of people. It is reality for some, look around. Golfer, you are delusional and need to come back to the REAL world.

Wake up.

All this fasting seems like a great way to cure the obesity issue in the US...

I predict we'll be seeing a lot of "hunger strikes" in the near future. To that end, why the frick should I (or anyone else for that matter) care that YOU are choosing not to eat? How does that affect me in anyway whatsoever? But alas, hunger strikes fall right in line with a group of people who are completely devoid of the ability to comprise a logical thought.

"Uggg!!!! I'm so mad at you I'M going to deprive MYSELF of food." The only logical response to a hunger strike should be "Fine with me. Have at it."
