I try to avoid low iq people but WalMart is the one place I do go. The majority of their customer base is just as low iq as the employees. If you ever want to feel better about yourself go to a WalMart. You will see the most obese disgusting people there that society offers.

Not sure if related but some cashiers regard it as insulting to put change on the counter. A good long while ago, I was buying something at a Circle K and put the cash out on the counter while I counted the subsequent necessary quarters and set them on top of the cash. The clerk menacingly said "now put it in my hand."... I was like "what? No dude. It's all there." He wouldn't pick it up..so I picked it up and left. So I guess that's a thing.

Different cultures treat it differently. Some treat not handing money to someone as a sign of disrespect, like you are “tossing” money to someone who is beneath you. Other cultures find the direct exchange of money to be distasteful. In most of Japan, clerks literally will not take money you hand them. There’s a little tray on the counter that they will slightly move as many times as necessary to get you to put your money on the tray for them to pick up.
