It really won't take longer than a few hours. That DIY stuff dries fast.

Anyways, sand it, get some orange peel texture in a bottle, spray on after you figure out the thickness to match the rest of your texture. Let it dry for a couple of hours, paint and voila!

He is just jerking your chain. If you have the leftover paint she won't notice.

Okay. Show me the math used to determine that 11:45 is halfway between 00:30 and 24:00.

If I’m wrong I’ll gladly admit it.

An update if anyone cares:

After applying a second layer of spackle, I placed the paint on the repaired area. Well, it turned out that the paint she had at her house was not the matching paint they used to paint the walls. It was the tester paint to give her an idea of what it would look like on the walls.

With three hours to spare, I went to the store the contractor bought the paint from and thankfully they were able to match. Went back to the house, applied the newly mixed paint, and was getting off the ladder as she turned into the neighborhood.

6 months later, we are still dating and she is none the wiser about the hole in the wall. I plan on it staying that way for the foreseeable future.

Thank you to everyone for help!

She's gone and you needed a replacement hole. I understand.

(24hr(60min/hr) - 30min)/2
(1440 - 30)/2
1410/2
(705min)/(60hr/min)
11.75 hrs = 11 hrs 45 min

Halfway + start time

11:45 + 30 = 12:15

My math matches yours. He was almost there

Edit: Damn, that post was almost six months ago
