I agree.

He did something so so so stupid, I am still confused as to why he would bring God or afterlife into his discussion with a 17 year old chick in his office about a dance at a public school.

You shouldnt ruin the guy forever.

The girl will be ok in the end and if she keeps her head straight she might be successful one day.

Well at this point I am just playing along. People are trying to get personal, and my stance hasn't changed. They want to be mad, deflect, and call me names simply because they don't agree with my opinion.

All I have said and will continue to say is, they guy shouldn't lose his pension. The girl will be just fine moving forward in life. The principal lost his job, what more do people want? That part has really twisted up some peoples panties.

This doesn’t seem to have happened. At least not yet.

Too much of that goes on here, unfortunately. Most often a sign of shallowness.

The guy should have known better. He took the wrong path. He has lost his job. The school district will pay up. What more do you need to happen? Obviously you want his pension. What else?

Just like this story, if it had gone national with Ard specifically, the outcome would be a bit different.

Same deal with the police chief in Youngsville. Had it not become a big story in the news, nothing would have happened.

And this would be one of the key issues.

He made a wide array of claims which have not been backed up to this point such as talking to the victim and mother, restoring her SGA position, restoring the scholarship, etc.

I’m from Missouri. SHOW ME where this has been fixed before I back off on what I feel should happen.

Ok, what stories am I missing here? I've read a half dozen articles and I keep seeing people bringing up stuff that I did not see in any of them. Where is the article discussing an hour of scripture or giving her scholarship to someone else? The principal was 100% wrong and deserves whatever is coming to him, but a lot of the replies on here seem to be either embellishments or missing information from the articles posted. If embellishments it seems odd to embellish a story when everyone other than trolls are on one side. If not embellishments please provide the articles, because I've been on the side of fire but keep pension, if either of those are true then 100% pension should be removed.

Dumb A move that should see him never work in public education anymore? Yep. Move bad enough the entirety of his seemingly impeccable career should be wiped...I'm not on that side of the fence, but can understand others having that view.

Repeat after me… SCHOLAR SHIP.

If she permanently lost the scholarship because of this, that is a massive financial loss and potentially the difference between attending that school and a different one.

That part baffles me, but you see it all over the country. it's either one side stripping all students of their rights, or the other side is this. We've seen this story all over the place but different situations. People getting punished at school, for stuff that doesn't happen at school but ends up on social media. The idiots resign, or get fired, or take a sabbatical.

Regardless to how stupid and idiotic some of these situations are, I am not on the side of stripping someone's retirement that they have worked on for years. shite like this certainly shouldn't cost someone their career. I believe there are some instances where it's warranted. I don't believe that this is one of them. He's gone from this situation, I think that's enough.

As long as he is gone for good from the school system and not some BS small town game of a leave of absence returning to the same job, I can support this POV, otherwise it's time for scorched earth until LPPS gets the message.

My guess is he has his years in and will take leave until it runs out and then retire. That’s what they usually do.

Just reading FB banter so take it FWIW-

Students did a walkout to protest St Pierre (planned before his resignation this morning)

Now the protest has shifted towards his named replacement, Asst Principal Rogers. Students apparently don't like him either.

This is turning into a shitshow.

originally it was a walk out to get St Pierre to resign but they also expected becnal to go as well and she hasn't and I'm also hearing that they're doing it now because they are putting Rogers in St Piere's place for now
