I originally thought the hair length debacle was dumb in the first place, and I'm glad that the students got back at the administration.

He described the school’s policy as ridiculous, out-of-date and sexist.

How fricking pathetic. "I don't like the rules and don't think I should abide by them. You should change them."

I mean, it's a stupid rule. No legitimate reason have this in effect. Essential the same as, "All females must have their hair to shoulder length at a minimum."

It isn't stupid. They want guys to be well groomed. We had this same rule in Catholic school.

You know, the ones wearing the megadeath black T-shirts, their hair nasty like his, their faces pockmarked, they were 17 in your freshman classes waiting until they turned 18 so they could dropout and ......

Some Caddo Magnet kids gave the best hair award to a Muslim girl who wore a hijab and kept her head totally covered. She thought it was hilarious.

Surely, you see the difference.

A school where families pay tuition and agree to absurd rules is entirely different than a public school where kids from all walks of life are attending. This isn't "he didn't like the rules he agreed to when he chose to go to X school". This is the public school available in the district he lives in.

I'm hugely against gestapo dress code rules in public schools. Beyond just hair. You're playing with fire when you try to dictate too strictly the appearance of kids from multitudes of backgrounds.

Yeah but Caddo Magnet is filled with a bunch of druggies and hard left shitheads. Truly a weird place.
